This ^^^^ right here. I can find a ton of ugly a$$ 20 year olds. Simply being 20 makes you a gift? Really? Those of you who are in your early 20's, think about all the weird, strange looking dudes you know or have come across in your age group. *YOU* yourself would not date them. But yet all of a sudden they become a prize?? Cause they are 20??

You know how men are all slobbery over youth and beauty. But yet this guy is dating a 60 yr old? Maybe this 20 yr old guy is not prime real estate himself, and that's why he is with this 60yr old. Cause he cant get much else. THAT is probably the real story. Bet a 100 bucks he is no Tom Brady.

Or, maybe they both just like each other and don't buy into the crap we all will say on forums like this.

It's no one's business anyway.

I think if they are both on equal footing education wise and financial wise...then I would be fine with it...I don't think in the end it will work out over time(little in common, different frames of references,etc.)...but that's their problem...

Who is any of us to tell others who they can mate or marry. The government now has decided men can marry men and women women. I find it personally disgusting, but its the law. Why knows why people bond together. I see other things that make me go HUH? Very fat woman with a very skinny man and vice versa. Very tall man with a short little woman. Why don't people just mind their own business?

Unusual things like that do happen. And in some cultures, it's normal. Big age differences are meaningless in some cultures; it's not unusual for younger guys to go after women twice their age or older.

Well we are talking about the U.S culture that by in large dominates this site.

Even in Math There are exceptions to the rule; let alone this sort of phenomenons.

When there is a huge gap in Age, all other variables absent you could assume some kind of monetary benefit to be involved. That is the case in overwhelming number of cases.

what are some of those other variables?

Well Let's say a Girl falling for a big intellectual who is 80 years old. i.e a hot girl falling for Noam Chomsky, Richard Dawkins, Steven Hawkins, Christopher Hitchens

Element of Fame. Let's say if a Girl/Guy Falls for some person with huge glory in the past.

But in most of other cases where money, power is incentives are involved. one has no choice but to intellectually label that as just another form of prostitution.

same thing.
if you are Intellectually honest you will have to label things independent of which gender has the means of power or wealth.

I don't have a problem with a man or woman that marries somebody for their money.
You can argue a significant number of marriages are based on that wealth factor!

But We must be straight forward, and call that prostitution; since it invokes a monetary transaction.

I enjoyed the responses. I am in my mid-50's myself. I have joked about it however, I cannot imagine being with a man that young--younger than my daughter. Men have been doing it all along and I never understood why a young women could be with someone that much older and how a man could handle being with someone his daughter's age. (and yes, I know what the interest is as far as the man is concerned)

Same goes with older woman with younger man. And I hear they are going to come out with Viagra for women....

To each his own.

Indifferent. It's none of my business what two consenting adults do with one another.
