Heartbreak follows the same stages as grief. It has real physical and emotional impact. You just have to work through the stages and accept each one. I know everyone gets tired of hearing it but "time really does heal". In the meantime, focus on yourself. Eat healthy. Get some sleep. Exercise. Pickup some hobbies or interests. Distract the mind but allow periods of time to reflect (and cry).

You'll know when you are ready...

Hang in there, sweetie. Everyone has something that they're dealing with at any given time. Like others said, take time for yourself to heal.

Best wishes to you.

I'm sorry to hear you are going through this. Its one on the hardest things life can do to us.

Nothing will take away the pain at the moment except the knowledge that it does get a lot better. Just keep hanging out with friends,do some new things, even if you don't feel like it

Give yourself time thats the only thing that heals a wound like this. I hope you can find some peace during this time to help you ease the pain.

Thank you everyone. Just drank a glass of wine with some popcorn while watching Hope for Paws video clips

I don't usually fall in love, but when I fall in love, I tend to give 100%. I really resent that guy.

Hang in there, stay away from your ex, spend time with family and friends, and the pain will decrease over time. Give yourself time to get over this breakup before starting to date again.

I hope I don't fall in love like this again.
You need some time to yourself to recover, but once you recover, I have no doubt that you will be quite in-demand. There are probably male acquaintances you have that are now licking their chops waiting to make a move.
