By very abusive I mean constantly hitting/beating women, making them feel like garbage all the time, would do everything they can to make them feel like they are worthless etc.
Anyone ever known a man like that that DID change and is now a great upstanding guy that is or would be a great father/husband etc.?

Nope.

Me either. The ones I knew ended up dead or incarcerated.
Real shame these kind of guys can't just drop dead of a massive heart attack or stroke BEFORE they do their damage, huh? Or better yet thrown off a cliff as soon as they are born.
No, although I have never known of anyone abusive on that level. I don't think it's wise to hope for that kind of change, either.
This for me too. I know of my cousin's husband, who was a bit rough with her, maybe man-handling. But nothing horrible I think.
otherwise, I have never known any serious abuse cases, and even so-unless action is taken against the guy(s), usually they keep it up. Most abuse cases tend to get worse, rather than better.
No. I sure at **** wouldn't wait around for him to change. Someone lays a hand on me, I could never feel safe with him again.
