Yes, delay the engagement. If fights and rage are happening now, they will continue to do so.

If you want to try and salvage the relationship, it is time for some couples counseling to work on these severe communication breakdowns.

Because she's probably at that age where it's expected in her culture, on top of facing a lot of family pressure. I'm making assumptions, of course, but the OP seems hung up on the 'culture' stuff and how it's traditionally done (rolls eyes but tries hard to not be disrespectful) instead of considering her actual feelings on marrying a hothead.
