I suspect she isn't because it is pretty hard for fictional characters to post to a message board. A satirical Twitter account is plausible.

I would have challenged her to try and make her idea happen. Start a "Moving On Up" fund and have both contribute to it. Quality of life improvement can be a shared goal.
