My best friend just met this guy literally one date, she says guy didn't ry to kiss her and he was a true gentleman through the date .. She does like the guy so all is cool.... BUt.... he has invited her to travel to France. He sent her the airplane tickets today while we were at the hair salon and also texted her asking her If she wants to stay in same room with him or if she prefers her own room that either way is fine with him. In my opinion, he sounds like a gentleman, but she doesn't know what to do and not sure what to adviser because if something goes wrong I will feel terrible.... What do you think?

Separate rooms at least for the first night... if she is asking you for advice, she has reservations. It will be difficult for her to enjoy the visit if she's "looking forward to being uncomfortable" afterwards.

Get separate rooms. They can always change their minds later. This whole situation seems a little sketchy though. Is she comfortable having a guy she just met pay her way on a trip? I certainly wouldn't.

Oh no, This guy is involved environmental and humanitarian causes, we have all his info he has a high profile in DC. He just want to show her France, he is not forcing things, thats why he suggested separate rooms. I personally feel he is a good guy but wanted to hear opinions from you guys. she asked for my opinion because we are like sisters.

I think she should get separate rooms too.

I think the guy is off the wall for making this offer before they've had a bit of time as a couple (say 6 months) and they knew they could do one hotel room.

It's not "gentlemanly" to give expensive presents to a woman he's just met or to ask her to sleep in his hotel room. It sounds like a good way to get stranded far from home. If he turns into a handsy lech who thinks it's time to show some gratitude, then what? Hope she has the cash to get herself home.

Then she shouldn't hop on a plane with a stranger.
