Well I'm not currently in this situation, but...... it's a hypothetical question.

Would you?

Who's interested in her HAND, amiright?

Just kidding.

But, if I were a guy and I wanted to marry a girl and her father said, "No way," I would ask why. If he had a valid reason, I'd try to see it from his point of view. But then ultimately, it's up to the couple whether they want to proceed or not. Unless we're talking underage people, of course. Then those kids should take a hike and wait until they're legal.

I'd marry that girl, marry her anyway. Marry that girl, no matter what you say. Marry that girl...
Just kidding. I am a girl, but if I were the guy I wouldn't feel right about it. It depends on the dad's character and the whole situation, really.

Yes. I've never married, but when I do, I'm not talking to the father. It is our decision.

I talked to my wife's father before hand, but I asked for his blessing not his permission.

Depends on how she feels about her dad! Bad sign for the relationship with the inlaws.

I hate and am seriously fed up of all this family drama stuff .

It's our marriage, and the final decision to pursue it is ours.

I would be very upset if my father was deciding for me. If anything, I should be the one he should be asking, not my father. I'm a grown woman, not some man's child who has no voice.
