do you think it is right or wrong to sell ex partners items and would you ever do it yourself?

Was it a gift or not? If it's a gift the giver doesn't have the right to tell the person what they can do with it later.... May be a bit tacky to sell it but, whatever - it's not wrong.

If it was given to me, it's mine to do what I want with it. Not sure I would get rid of it in this manner, but I don't see anything wrong with it, per se.

After the PR buzz runs out the hosting bills will end up eating up this woman's money.

Another Lookatme! Lookatmeeee! bit of self-absorption and public preening. Whenever I hear about this stuff, I picture an ex who is glad to finally be free. Ebay and Craigslist work just fine.

If I liked the item, I'd probably just keep it.

If I had no use for it anymore, I'd sell it or give it away on my local "buy, sell, trade" board.

Seems to me folks that would use that website may be a bit disgruntled and cranky over the break-up.
