I was around my mid thirties when I suddenly realized it really wasn't all my father's fault. Then I got a bit angry realizing I had been manipulated into thinking that.

Then I realized that I was powerful enough to make my own life and decide how it was going to go. Just because you had a lousy childhood does not mean you will have a lousy adulthood.
