How can you say relationships between men and women work most of the time when the divorce rate is over 50% now? I heard 57% the other day on TV but don't have a source to prove that.

It seems that to you, women are pure and noble and men are evil things.

I live with 40 of the best men in the world and never at any time have I felt debased or devalued by any one of them. And yes, I do enjoy it when one of them gives me a compliment and I've caught a few of 'em sneaking a look here and there. And now and then...I look back

The first time he went to Amsterdam, I asked him, as most mothers might do, if he visited any hookers there. He was only 19 and like a mom I was thinking of his health.

He informed me that even though prostitution is legal there, most of the women engaged in it are really there against their will, and that he would not contribute to that.

It's quite a shame about the infidelity that seems so rampant in our culture and I really don't know what the answer is there. I personally wouldn't toss a guy because of a little porn though.

No, I have a daughter.

I also should say that I used to work in mental health and I heard alot of stories. I saw alot of men that looked like the guy next door who were some of the sickest people I thought I had met until the next one walked in. Of course the wife had no idea.

As far as porn goes, I would not even consider an involvement with someone who indulges in porn. I have seen how bad it can get and anyone who finds that fulfilling is speaking a different language then I am when it comes to sexual intimacy.

Do you know how many marriages end because the male is wrapped up in infedility or porn?? Are you aware that while women cheat they do it to get general attention but give up the sex to get it while men are just looking for just SEX??

I do find the way men are wired disgusting. I can't respond to someone who looks at me as just another chance to have sex or a man who has spread it around so much he can't count the number of women he has been with.

I agree 100% with Metlakatla. You are very bitter towards men, perhaps because of your past experiences. But you are unfairly projecting that on the entire male population.

While it is true that more men are visually stimulated more so than most women, it is absolutely untrue to say that all men cannot control certain aspects of their sexuality. You cite to porn addicts, infidelity etc. I don't why you project that on all men. Men, and their sexuality, are not inherently disgusting. Somewhat different, but not disgusting.

Moreover, women have been suppressed for centuries, and with more freedom these days, lots of women are also starting to do some pretty weird things. Look at those female teachers/pedophiles who start sleeping with their underage students.

No, you may hate men, but most of us women don't. Having read your intelligent posts on so many other topics, e.g. religion, I find it disheartening that you hold such an illiberal attitude towards this.

Again, it seems like you're looking at the worst cases and projecting it on everyone with a penis.

It's your prerogative to feel what you feel in terms of this, but I can tell you, without hesitation, that your "man vs woman" dichotomy doesn't fit in quite a lot of situations I know.

Men who watch porn may not be speaking YOUR language, but those who indulge in moderation and are otherwise attractive to me, CERTAINLY speak mine. It is what it is, in terms of my likes and dislikes, but I would hardly turn my own experiences into some sort of "men are... vs women are..." theory.

As far as why men and women "cheat". Again, you're painting with strokes that are WAY too broad.

This myth has already been debunked in a few scientific studies. I think we are just not given as much eye-candy to look at as men. Watch tv one night and try to find an attractive man on a show....then flip through the channels and see how many attractive women they are.
