Think of it this way...

The wife can no longer say that the husband has no idea what it is like to be pregnant.

No. Gederbending and shocking envelope pushing don't do anything for me.

I wouldn't date a man with a uterus. I'm just glad that I was born a female and I identify as female. I'm attracted to masculine men who were born as male and identify as male. It makes things very easy in that regard.

Well, there was that one Portland, OR couple, both were actually biologically female, but one was in process of becoming a man (kept her parts). So when this (man) became pregnant, the media went all crazy about the "pregnant man". I think it was... 10 years ago?

I was just thinking of that. It's a totally different situation though.

Sorry, but if you read the article you posted, this is not an option for married couples. I mean, no heterosexual man would undergo transgender surgery and a loving wife would never allow her husband to have it. This type of transformation isn't just for giving birth. There are many other options, like using a surrogate or adoption.

By the way, this is not an anti-gay or anti-transgender post. I'm simply saying that in order for a man to have a viable womb, he can no longer function as a man. If a man desires to change his gender identity, that's an entirely different story.

Sure. I've even mentioned this to my husband. I'd totally support it. He has no interest, however.

Biologically the surrogate has no grounds... the baby is not tied to her genetically. I would assume the contract is also involved.
And yet it still gets messy. Not all states recognize surrogacy.
