A man a my office did -- twice. Both of them left him. Both women were just looking for a free ticket to the US. Once they gained citizenship and had access to his money, it's lickety-split!

My uncle tried a few times. I say more power to them- if I was an attractive, intelligent woman who spoke English who happened to have the misfortune of being born in a country where my opportunities were limited, you better believe I'd use those qualities to my advantage.

I think its bizarre and more then just a little pathetic.

Maybe I'm a nasty person but I always have to chuckle when men do this and the woman leave them once they get citizenship.

Then there is that story of the man from I think it was Austrailia who actually traveled to somewhere in Asia and was killed or nearly killed for his trouble.

Nope. It seems to much like you're buying "something" instead of hoping to have a relationship with a person.

Ordering a woman online is kinda weird. I would rather meet a nice European woman in a bar or something.

Well, there are plenty of nice European women who come up to Alaska for the summer to work . Meeting them isn't difficult; what can be difficult is being deemed worthy of their time and attention. Most are students with serious ambitions and not really looking to snag an American husband. But I've known a few couples who've met that way.

Well, you could come up and work for the summer; it wouldn't be tough to get a job. Just be sure you get one at a place where they hire international students.

I very much agree with the above post. If I ever got so desperate I had to try to "buy" me a wife, I would never feel any sort of contentment from that sort of thing. I'd much rather live with, and spend money on a woman who cared about me. I'm not the most handsome fellow in the world, but I am romantic, and love romantic type stuff. It wouldn't be for me! I'd rather just live alone, and post threads on here about how lonely I was!
