I played Wii Play with my nephew, had late breakfast with my Bro and SIL, kissed them goodbye, went to work from 12-5, came home and hung out with my best gal, my 15 year old daughter. We ate chocolate chip cookies that she made, tested the Red Velvet Oreos I had gotten her, and had chowder for dinner.

Was I supposed to want/need anything else? People are talking up Valentines day like it's supposed to be a big deal. ???

I hung out at the gym. Better than eating out and getting fat.

Yeah, I was alone this Valentine's day, like all the others. It really didn't bother me this year, at least. I just rolled my eyes at all of the sappy garbage that seems to come from everywhere. Otherwise, I would have forgotten it was a "special" day.

Only in the morning and afternoon. In the evening, I went to a speed dating party that I bought tickets for a few days in advance. It was funny to be riding a commuter train downtown (the line near me runs on Sundays, but not all do), and seeing a divide of sorts between couples and singles (like me). The train was quite packed for a Sunday evening. You could very easily tell which couple just had a happy time and which just had a fight, just by looking at their body language.

The speed dating was amazingly fun! I mutually matched with only one lady, but had really fun conversations with almost all of them. (The organization already e-mailed me her contact info, and I'm supposed to see her this Friday right after work.) Not to mention there was an after-party when the speed dating ended, to let people mingle. There was some good dance music too; I ended up dancing with a few women. I caught the last train out of downtown and got home real late.

Had a girly evening with a single friend. We made some food, shared a bottle (or two) of wine, watched Magic Mike :-D

Spent the day wrapping up my master bedroom remodel. Painted the bathroom, doors and door frames. the shower door guy came on Monday to finish up the new shower and tomorrow the carpet people come. YAY, I'm tired of sleeping in the guest room.

I spent the day alone watching the news, getting up updates on the Republican debate and Scalia's passing. Yep that's pretty much what I did all day that day
