I see them as the bad guys. I don't care if they were damaged by women. It's their responsibilies to sort themselves out.

I know one woman in her late 80s. Divorced at mid 30 with 3 kids. Met her now husband, who is now also in his late 80s and had 2 kids, in her 30s. Never seen a couple still so in love at this old age. And their families are great.

Do you think they lasted that long by ignoring each other's personal problems or avoiding the problems that may have affected their realtionship as a result?

If you want your own house and not someone else's, you have to build it.

There are your role models. Look to them for what to do in terms of how each treats the other one. Then look for someone who acts the same toward you. Also, you need to learn to treat people in the same manner if you don't do so already.

What you mean? That he's not the only great guy out there?

Your post is about all men being the same, with the same meaning terrible in your limited experience. Isn't the man in your story an exception?

I think it may be a generation thing. I have met lots of older guys that are gems. Something is lost with people in my generation. We have become more me,me, me.

I have no attraction to old before anyone makes that suggestion.
