So much for giving up on men and relationships.

It doesn't suit all men. However, some men like that trait. They're usually confident in themselves but don't need to be in control of anybody. My husband liked the fact that I had my own tools and supplies for home repairs. He thinks it's hilarious that I currently have four organized tool boxes in my studio.

Maybe it's a rare trait in a man that he can provide enough nurturing affection and feedback to a strong woman. It certainly took me awhile to find the right one.

You still need to be happy by yourself and put the husband search on the back burner. Neediness is not attractive. Independence and self-sufficiency are.
Yeah I have a tool collection that impresses most men. My garage is my favorite room in the house.

I am happy by myself. I have been single a really long time. I want a partner in life to share life with. The family lifestyle. I am not needy. And the only men that accuse me of being needy are the ones that only want to swing by once a week for a visit and don't want to see me any other time. That is just having a friend in my eyes, not a partner.

I slid it into the conversation that I had a boyfriend.

Sorry, did I miss something...where did the hanging around sharing some beers come from?...I thought you were measuring for house repairs?

I am very laid back. People tend to act very relaxed from their normal professional behavior. And clearly if something is wrong with them, they are drawn to hang out with me a little longer.

My lawyer kind of said something interesting the other week. He said that I build people up and make them feel better about themselves.

I had one contractor ask if I had room at my house for him to stay over while he was doing the job. The crap that men say to me is quite ridiculous.

One could say that you flirt mercilessly with anyone who crosses your path and somehow continue to be surprised when they respond in kind.

At any rate, here we go with another thread in which people tell you the many ways you are bringing trouble into your life and you continue to refute and refuse.

Well on his defense. I was drinking a beer already when he pulled in the driveway. I keep a fridge dedicated for beer in the garage.

Mod cut: Quoted post deleted.

In my eyes, I will be single until I am married. But I won't marry the wrong guy so I don't see this changing because I don't attract guys that are normal.
