I work...and I hit the gym afterwards. And he works. So no. Spending the night "for a few days" would not work for me unless it was the weekend.

How to take a break?
As usual. We never get the real story.

Not if I was on a one year long no contact break, that would be a *date* and I'm not allowed to date while on break.

Any partner younger than 60 will probably jump at that request. This is if the relationship has any traction, if it's over then probably not the time to ask for it. Really if he is younger than 60 and doesn't jump at the idea, then they are either not into you, or have someone else in mind....in both cases the relationship is dying.

You're talking about fooling around without sex, right? Not everyone gets excited about that.

How does that suggest just fooling around and not sex?. What boyfriend or girlfriend would ask/want to spend a couple of days together just hugging and kissing?.

Didn't even know she had other threads

So I assume they have just started dating and not had sex yet then?

She stated she's a nearly 30yo virgin and proud of it (saving herself for marriage). "Him" and her been dating a year and its been tough on him. They're having way too many problems for a young relationship.

They're not even dating. They broke up. And big LOL at hugging and kissing for a few days.
