She doesn't want me to visit her for two weeks. (dating, boyfriend)

My girlfriend and I started dating a few weeks ago. She told me last weekend that I can't see her for two weeks because she is having surgery done on her teeth. I would be ok with seeing her even after two of her teeth were removed by the dentist for a crown replacement. We still text each other, of course. I just didn't understand why she would be so worried about her appearance if I am her boyfriend. I understand that people in relationships want to look their best. But since we are dating exclusively, shouldn't she be ok with us seeing each other regardless of our appearances?
You've only been dating a few weeks. That's not really very long for someone to feel comfortable letting you see her missing two teeth. Also, she might be anticipating some pain and swelling, and like many women, just want to be left alone while she's recovering, without worrying about carrying her end of the conversation, dealing with meals, and worrying about a man getting horny.
Well you said you started dating a few weeks ago. That's relatively new in the grand scheme of things, and as such, she's not yet comfortable to be anything less than perfect around you. That sometimes comes with time before people get that comfortable in front of a SO.
My mother said when she and my father 1st started dating, he was very shy and never wanted to fart around her. After being married for almost 30 years, he'll just let them rip wherever, and very loudly. Clearly, he got over that. lol
So for now, your gf is still caught up in the newness of things, and a bond may need to continue to grow a bit more, and longer before she becomes comfortable enough for you to see her at her less attractive times. In addition to missing teeth, she may have some swelling as well, as stated above, possibly some bleeding, drooling, and whatever else.
It's been stated a few times when a relationship is still pretty new, the "love" or "love you no matter what" hasn't had time to build yet, and it's still a bit shallow before it gets deep.

Not to sound harsh, but you have only been together a few weeks, that is nothing. Give the poor girl a chance to recover in peace. I don't even want my husband or anyone around when I am sick or recovering from something, I just want to be left alone. I don't know why you are taking it so personally, especially after such a small amount of time together.
Ok. I understand, especially since she may be going through some pain and discomfort after the surgery, and she would want to be left alone, which is understandable. Thanks everyone for the advice.

I have a very good female friend who I've seen nekked and spent a lot of time around, but she won't let me see her blow her nose. People have interesting hangups, and it's ok.
I personally, think two weeks is a silly amount of time not to see my girlfriend. One cant possibly be in pain for that long.
Its like me telling my girlfriend not to see me because I got a bad haircut--sorry, but wait till it grows out, Lol.
Anyways, respect her wishes, OP.
Ehh I just had surgery the first week of February on my jaw and I am still having discomfort.
