Put a puppet next to him and walk away just saying. But yes now days lot of people with smart phones. I went to a dinner with friends ,,, three couples were there both with phone busy.. and kids were yawning.

I like the example of the 4 friends in a booth.

They stack their phones in the middle of the table during dinner. The first to check their phone pays the bill for the whole table.

Actually I don't and he puts the phone down. Im trying my best to show him that the relationship is more better when we are actually engaged. At this point he's just a pain about it. I read an article that these devices actually release the same dopamine set response involved in pleasure...so it's no wonder why people (like him) are always on the phone but it's no less annoying not to mention rude.
