I've been brought flowers (or sent) to my house. I have been brought high end whiskeys, hand cuffs and chocolates must have been in there somewhere.....

My current boyfriend gave me a science fiction book on our first date. I still talk about that. It was a pretty awesome gesture and an intriguing book! That was by far the coolest date gift especially after I started reading it and realized he had good taste in books!
when i go out on a date, and if i choose to give the lady something, it is usually a stuffed flower with a smiley face in the middle, and then only one. its cute, its easy to stuff in to a purse so it is out of the way, and best of all it doesnt die a few days after giving it to her.

Yes, but it was the type of flowers that made it special. Evidently, when the Mr. and I started dating, he asked my friend what kind of flowers I liked, and the friend informed him that I like wildflowers. He had no idea what that was ("Is that what I ask for at the florist?"), so the friend told him it's the kind of flowers you find in the woods, growing along the sides of the road, etc (I'm a classy broad). And he actually went flower-picking, and showed up with a bunch of cinquefoil, black-eyed susans, cornflowers, crimson clover... and a couple of dandelions as a joke.
I agree. All these things are pretty annoying on a date. You can send flowers to work though! A teddy bear? No thanks. That just adds more clutter I don't need.
No flowers at work. Half of the people there will accuse you(behind your back) of sending them to yourself.
