Just the whole thought of taking a water bottle with booze to the movies and drinking it ALONE is weird.

She could have said "hey, I brought us some booze if we wanna spice up our movie theater experience" and if you decline, she should have put it away.

Yeah, but apparently calling things like that weird (or smoking water weird) is not looked upon nicely around here.

That's what I was thinking, she just causally whips out a bottle of hooch. Doesn't make a joke or giggle and say something like you said, let's spice up the movie or whatever, it was just the casual way she went about it, like it's perfectly normal to not say you have a water bottle with vodka instead. Seems bizarre as hell to me.

There is a big difference.

Vaping is popular at the moment and I take it over cigarette smell any day.

You can be addicted to cigarettes or vaping (pretty much anything). I think the GF is addicted to alcohol. Only the OP can decide if it is something he can live with. What the rest of us think is irrelevant. I'm still wondering about date #1 and #2.... a pattern of behavior.

There are people are won't date a person who smokes either. My wife is one of those people; father was a heavy smoker and it eventually ended his life prematurely. She actually objected to my casual cigar smoke but accepted it once she realized I only smoke 1 (maybe 2) a month. The smell of cigarette smoke makes her feel physically sick... fortunately for us, I'm not a cigarette smoker.

Abort.

Functioning alcoholic, or on the verge, I would not be comfortable or interested in dating such a person.

yeah, sure. I don't like vaping. I rather kiss a smoker who smells like cigarette than a vapor guy because his breath smells grosser due to the fact you can't really identify the smell. And I don't like the arrogance of vapors vaping inside buildings, claiming it is JUST VAPOR. BUt it is what it is.

I agree with this. Especially when my children are in vicinity of those vapors.

I doubt the bottle was full of vodka and she had A drink on another date. I wouldn't worry about it.

She is a functioning alcoholic.. that's pretty obvious.
How does the OP know it was straight vodka and not diluted? I'd say no way to drink, what - 16 oz. of vodka and not show it!

Regardless, clear red flag that she can't get through a movie without a drink.
