She wasn't "hurt". She just went down like she wanted to stop and pick something up. Then immediately got back up again. But she didn't pick anything up.
What would you think if a woman suddenly dropped to her knees when she was walking towards a man?
There is an unfamiliar woman in my building. I have gotten the feeling in the past that she may have liked me. Today we were walking towards each other and she dropped down to the floor in front of me just before I walked past her. No one else was around who would have seen her. But there was no good reason that she was doing this.
How do you know if you did not stop and ask?
You don't, you were guessing just like everyone here is guessing.
If you want the actual answer to a question from a specific person ask that person your question.
Well, I would have considered it rude to ask. Because it was essentially just a strange gesture. She didn't look like she wanted me to say anything. That's why I wanted to know what people thought.
I think she is kind of young and might be prone to doing something odd like that.

Do you not think this was a pertinent nugget of information that should have been included in the OP?
We used to have a girl in our church in another city that would be walking and her knees would give way and she would be down immediately. It was unsettling but someone usually helped her up. We didn't just walk past her.
