Her family was all military so we got to access the base there at pearl harbor. You could still see bullet holes in building from the Japanese air craft fighters. I guess they didn't repair parts of it just as a way to honor and remember the fallen I suppose. I found it eerie to see "history" in real life as we've read about going to school.

Remolding a house like that and DYI is really a way to go if you've got the skills and know what you're doing. Certain things you probably should still sub out to a pro, things like running gas lines and more advanced electrical work, but like I said if you've got the skill set it's a good way to really build some equity in a place. We watch HGTV a lot and watch those shows like Property Brothers and Fixer Upper. The before and after's amazing, truly.

I probably need to let the idea of a motorcycle go, at least while living here, If we do indeed make a move to NM I might give it a real think on it. I rode a bike til I was about 20, from 16 to 20 and boy, I did have a few close calls. One of the places is when making left turns at lights, people just don't see you and that's where a few of my close calls came from. Several years ago I worked with a guy and he was a big Hog guy, loved them, he kept pestering me to get a bike and go out with him and a couple of his buddies. I almost did, but this was a long time ago and all of the close calls I had were "fresher" in my mind and I blew it off. I haven't been on a bike in 25 plus years now. I was talking with someone recently about wanting one and he was a retired firefighter/EMT and was telling me a few stories about some gruesome stuff he saw on the job in terms of motorcycle deaths. Yeah, wasn't pleasant sounding to say the least.
I was able to visit Oahu almost 6 years ago. My best friend and his then girlfriend were nice enough to invite me with them when they went. We got a condo vacation rental and he paid for most of it, but it had an extra bed, so they invited me to come. I stayed there for a week, but they were there for 2 weeks. I flew in from San Diego and they flew there from Jersey and we met up there at the airport in Honolulu. I thought that was nice of them, since he knew I had always wanted to go there. He had been there before, but I hadn't. He had went there with a girl he had been with in the past. We rented a truck for a couple days and hit some surfing spots on the North Shore and even did the Pearl Harbor tour. I think that's where we might honeymoon at, she's never been there before.

Very expensive for sure and I don't think I'd ever move there. Just that if I did relocate, that's where I'd be going. It would be to there.

I was surprised when I found out it wasn't a law to wear a helmet on a street bike in Florida when I first moved here. I figured it was a law everywhere these days.

I saw a dude get hit on a crotch rocket some years back. Probably close to 9 years ago now, it was the last summer I was with my then girlfriend of 5+ years. She loved getting tattoos and she went to an artist out on Long Island. I was outside the tattoo parlor and on the phone with my friend while she was in there getting tattooed. It was a hot summer day and this dude on a crotch rocket got hit right across the street from me. Someone ran the red light there, not sure if it was him or the woman in the mini van that hit him. I didn't actually see the collision with my eyes, as I was facing the other way, but I heard it and immediately looked over. The guy who got hit had injuries, but I don't think they were life threatening. I stood up and walked over a little bit to see what was going on and asked them if they needed me to call 911, but someone else had already called 911 for him. He probably had a broken leg though and maybe broke something else. Pretty Scary stuff for sure.

Here is a pic of my first bike. It was a Honda twin star 185 cc engine. It was a dog in terms of speed, but I loved it still. I was always been into cruiser type bikes instead of crotch rockets.
Well then get one!
Also, what does Mrs Chow think about bikes, and what have you done with her?

I have a lot of hours on dirt bikes over the years but I won't ride a motorcycle on the street. I went to too many funerals as a kid. I get the wind in my hair in other ways where I don't have the risk of some moron behind the wheel running me down like a dog.

For 28 years i rode my 1967 BSA 650 Lightning. We explored many areas of California & neighboring states. We had many fun times & have wonderful memories...

I had my 1974 Honda 90 mounted on the motorhome. When we were camping i used it to go fishing up the road, exploring, or get a few groceries at the closest store...

We have had many wonderful memories of adventures, from time spent on the islands of Kauai, Hawaii, Oahu...

There is another place on the web that I post on sometimes and there aren't many people there. There's three or four women that are so hardcore completely over the top at times. These women are where the term feminazi came from. Lol I know that is an offensive term but good lord. I used to engage them and was very polite and these women were just not having it. Mean vicious serious man haters. There has never been a poster or a group of female posters here that come anywhere near the levels of this coven. Lol I was practically begging them to try and have a pleasant polite discourse, and they weren't having. Just wanted to smash their boot down your throat if you said anything remotely out of line with them. For all the haters here man or women, nobody's came close to this group. The moderating is much less. Makes me appreciate ours here a bit more. When things get too nasty things get shutdown, as they probably should. The internet is just full of people who are just damn mean as hell. Something about anonymity just brings out the crap in some people.

You feel about the feminazis how some of us feel about the red pill and narcissists who go on about the women they "pull" (ish) bc they show 'em 'what frame we're playing on' and other PUA lingo. If they dont drive civilized posters away, it may seem like they get jumped here, too, but it usually takes a couple days of adnauseum grandstanding, then enough is enough. You know you can't out argue these CDR women, right? They'll leave your head spinning. 😁
Forums without moderation are run by whomever can be the most obnoxious, in my experience.

The CD women here for the part aren't the same group as these vultures I'm talking about. They are in a class of man hate all their own. This forum has more than its share of the mouth breathers that follows the mgtow silliness. Most of the female CD regulars are all pretty OK. That's part of why I felt compelled to post what i did about that other group. You're right about the obnoxious part, one of that coven is a mod. Lol.

Has anyone clicked on the growth spurt thread? Is it one of those vile videos from the loser who keeps getting banned? He struck again last night so now I won't click on a thread that looks like it might be one of his hit and run jobs.

It's the same one as yesterday. Some state hospitals allow for limited supervised internet use.
Notice its her second post, but shows one post. Must've forgotten which user name she used yesterday to talk about "growth one into college size past man 2 year."

ETA: No, I mean it's not the porn guy.

I haven't talked about burritos or gyros for a while, so, just for old times sake.
