That isn't the 'spark' you lost, it's 'respect'. The two are generally unrelated.

I don't think something died in you momentarily; something died permanently. If you don't respect her choice, best to move on.

And I don't think this indicates that you are immature, like Just a Guy said. It indicates that you are the mature one!
