Uh that would be exactly 3 times in 23 years(her calling me - I have never called her).

01) My Father died
02) My Brother died
03) Buy me some Sees Chocolate at the airport

When we both still worked we met for lunch every day possible, usually eating out but sometimes packing our own lunch. Our offices were a short walk from one another and there were many restaurants to choose from. Once she retired and I still worked I'd call her every day on my lunch hour and again after work non my way home to see if there was anything I needed to pick up on the way home. Home was within an easy walking distance as well.

Only if it is absolutely necessary, no emails or texts either.
You are being paid to work not entertain your spouse.

We might text briefly during the work day, but it's brief. She's busy, as am I.

It was sweet, how awesome it would be to be able to walk home from work and not have to fight traffic.

Zero. I'm a librarian so I can't just be talking on the phone whenever. I would only call if there was something emergent happening (illness, car trouble) and I needed help.

We do text back and forth a bit sometimes, like today we exchanged 4 texts making plans for tonight.

None. Why would you have to phone your SO during the work day?

Off the top of my head, because sometimes the pipes burst or the realtor calls and you need to counter-offer, or you need to take the dog to the emergency vet or you want to confirm after-work plans or you get some really great news and can't wait for them to get home to tell them? Or because for many people, a five minute break in the work day isn't a huge deal?

None…If I am at work I am there to "work." If I want to talk to my spouse I do it on my time not my employer's unless it is an emergency. Call on a break or lunch time.
