I choose mostly. But if my wife sees something she likes, she brings it home for approval. 90% of the time, I like it. She has good taste.

I'd ask for suggestions and if honest I'd expect an opinion on it... Which would be most welcomed

But it's still my choice regardless of how strongly she may object

My ex husband was very controlling. He would argue with me about how I dressed, how I wore my makeup, what hair color I should have, what length to wear my hair and in what style, pretty much every aspect of my appearance was subject to his scrutiny. He would refuse to leave the house as a couple sometimes until I washed my face off and re-did my makeup or agreed to change into the outfit he approved for me to wear. The kind of verbal abuse and character assassination I would receive regularly is unforgettable. Sleeping With the Enemy (the movie) is a good insider's view to what life is like with that kind of man. I was only 18 when I met him, sadly.

Did I mention he is now my ex?

My wife would never attempt to dress me how "she" wanted, so I really wouldn't care at the end of the day if she did.

With that said, I don't know how that it would even come up to happen without me specifically asking her to do so since she has never had to before.

It would probably cause more confusion than anything lol

Choose? No. Consult? Yes. And I find much of the stuff that she decides to buy for herself. And often she'll ask me to help her pick what to wear when we go out. Half the time I even get my way on that!

I'm truly very sorry to hear of this my love

Obviously ANY woman that's been or going though this has my heart but when it's someone you know and really like it breaks it!

Can't begin to tell you how glad I am you broke free
