So I recently had professional pictures taken of me for the website at my job. Quite frankly, they're pretty horrifying. I look in the mirror and I don't see any of that nastiness.
But it got me thinking: how do I know that I'm not actually ugly? I typically don't get many hits from women online, but I get a fair amount in person. Does this mean that women are excusing my ugliness because I have a good personality?
Or maybe I'm just not photogenic and I'm not actually that ugly.
But jeez, man, I can't believe that one of those photos are actually going up on the website. I'm not showing anyone.
It's possible you're just not photogenic. Not everyone is. 1 guy I know saying he knows 2 women, both beautiful, but in pictures, one doesn't look near as beautiful as she is irl.
Yeah, some people are not photogenic. I myself look different in photos than I do in the mirror which makes me wonder what I look more like in person. I don't know if I look like my mirror or my pictures. That said, I don't think my pictures are ugly

I've long suspected that my wife has had vision problems, they say love is blind! Anyways, when I look in the mirror, I see a 1, in some pictures, maybe bumped up to a whole solid 2? Just not a good looking guy, I'd be the first to admit it! Damn, these good looking guys have the world by the b a l l s!
You don't look ugly, you just look different from how you see yourself in a mirror. The image you see in the mirror is a left/right reversal of what you look like to others. Use your phone (camera on your phone, LOL) or camera to see how you look to others.

I see a 7 in the mirror. Nice face, great smile, amazing hair (not even kidding....I love my hair).
But I literally look like I just had a stroke in this picture. What's worse is that people have been comparing my looks to Sylvester Stallone lately. I didn't see it until this picture.
But I legit do think I look like him now....which is not a good thing (I used to be compared to James Franco, which is MUCH better, imo).
Thank god I have a lot of charm because I certainly can't rely on my looks anymore!
If you are good at your job does that matter how you look like. just saying...
