So my boyfriend and I have been together for 7 months and while everything else is good what bothers me is since the stupid game came out he is always on it. Even when we go out on dates he will have the stupid game open just in case a Pokémon appears. I mean he will still talk with me but if a Pokémon appears he will stop and say "just a second got to catch this".

Or like we went hiking together a few days ago and as we were hiking he saw some other people playing and walked over and spent 10 minutes talking to them about the stupid game. I told him when we are together I don't want him to play it but he says I am being unreasonable and "I still spend time and talk with you".

What do you think?

Seems like your boyfriend wants a Pikachu and not that which sounds like "Pikachu."

Withhold the goods from him if he can't curb his little Pokémon Go addiction.

There is only one solution: Install the game on your phone. You can then both play it at the same time

All I can say is: You know all those memes with half-naked girls with gamer boyfriends that can't put their games down for some sexytime?

Yeah, not an issue that would ever happen at my place.

Again ladies... I'm gonna play Uncharted at my buddy's place 2x a month tops... so if you want to get away from these bitter Tumblr stars and enjoy a good breakfast in the morning, I'm game.

It's silly but it's certainly better than him playing golf.

Yeah, as he is in the middle of lovey-time, you should grab your phone and say, "Oh, I just need to check this". When he is playing his game, just get up and go call a friend, talk to a neighbor or others hiking, etc. Say, "Oh, I wanted to talk to them about something". Be nonchalant about it. He might end up wanting to keep an eye out for you. (I am not one for playing games, but you might need to fight fire with fire).

It is just the idea that another is expected to wait while they become engaged in a diversion. I have thought, while in another's presence who is wanting to check FB, a game or some such nonsense, I should just get up and walk away. When they ask "Where are ya going?" I'll say, "Well, you've gone away, so .." (It's ridiculous.. I recall when people normally looked at each other and kept a conversation going). It would be nice if such diversions had not been created and also, why are people such followers?? Someone dictates that something should be a trend, and people just become robotic.

Now I use this site often and do so because (a) I like "conversing" (b) giving opinions (c) or am bored, but I would not do this if out with others or if having visitors. I do this while watching TV or listening to music, after other stuff is done.
