Ok I know the obvious question and felons are people too, but if they are known violent offenders women marry, have children and live with people who have known records thinking they are reformed?
Oh my God. I have no idea. I can't imagine such a thing. And I don't know anyone who is married to or dating a con or ex-con. I mean not that I know of...unless people hide that sort of thing very well.
I'd imagine that marrying a convicted felon is less something women as a whole do, and more of thing that a specific type of woman does. I don't know any convicted felons or women married to them, so you may have to take that with a grain of salt.
You will have to expand your question. Are you talking about a one time offense? The guy who was convicted many years ago and has done nothing since in terms of committing crimes? Are you talking about someone who cannot hold a job because of the conviction or someone who is gainfully employed and has been so for many years?
Obviously the circumstances, nature of the crime, and time since the offense - or being let out of prison - will have some bearing on this, but for the most part I think most of these women are either damaged or can't do any better.

I'm baffled how often this topic comes up and am curious as to why you even care to wonder about this.

Or they think they can change and reform the bad boy. But I'm more inclined to go with 'birds of a feather' as another poster suggested.
