I'm with you on this.

Also, for me, sarcasm can get really old if that's the only manner in which someone tries to express a sense of humor.

Agreed. I am ok with a little bit, but if someone is over the top with it and proud about it, then no.

Depends on the delivery. Some people are really good at having a sarcastic sense of humor, where you as the recipient of it can tell that it is all in good fun. But other times it can come across like they really just don't care for you at all. I guess it really all comes down to how well you and the other person vibe and get along.

I've dated a few chronically sarcastic people, and they were not happy people in general. They didn't know how to directly communicate and were very passive-aggressive. So, no, not a good quality in a partner.

In today's world, some people think they're cool when they're really being rude.

Sarcasm seems to have an undercurrent of anger and hostility to me. Not sexy!

Some use sarcasm as a coping mechanism for their unhappiness. While they can be funny at times, sometimes, the insults can come off as being mean

Everyone has some sarcastic moments, but being proud of it sounds bizarre to me.
I don't really get the OKCupid culture.

Wit and sarcasm are not interchangeable.
