What are some tell tale signs that a relationship has run its course? Obviously things like cheating are good indicators, but what are some others?
One indicator for me is coming home, seeing your SO's car in the driveway, then being disappointed. The relationship is over if you aren't excited to see that person.
Yes, for me it's been NOT looking forward to a weekend together if it's an LDR. Or when you look forward to the weekend (in your mind) and then when you're actually together you're immediately irritated/annoyed/tired and ready for the weekend to be over to get back to work!
- It's the weekend, you really pray for some time off from that harpy to do things men actually like: guns, cars, motorcycles, power tools, a Mariners game. For example. Not dealing with brats you didn't sire, "her mom," or other low-brow BS.
- Ignoring phone calls.
- Few if any texts during the day.
- No real spark under the sheets any more.
- No particular interest in gifts, notes, or really anything intimate.
- Definitely more friend-like and transactional vs. caring.
Guess I can personally boil it down to: I'm going through the motions, it's moderately convenient to have them around for events and parties, but otherwise you just...could not...care less one way or another.
If they split, or I split: at that point, mostly irrelevant. I mean, "whatever, get out."
Wow. You shouldn't have to deal with a single mom who does not like guns, cars, motorcycles, power tools, and/or the Mariners. There are child-free women out there who "get" these things. There in Seattle you ought to be able to find at least one.
Things being thrown at you. Every other word is a cuss word and not said in jest. A significant fraction of inbound communications are criticisms. You treasure your time away (including your worst days at work). You start to think that living in your truck would be better than staying.

When even the sound of their breathing annoys you. :=(
Now tell the nice policeman why you strangled him.
