I would say after getting married, do some trivial things she appreciates, i.e. take the garbage out every night. Almost all her friends have to take the garbage out and their husbands never give a hand.

OK then I will echo what you stated! Others have offered up A different idea of what is REALLY valuable. A life together is the most valuable thing anyone could ever hope for!

I helped change diapers of my kids when we were away from home. She couldn't bend because she had back problem. In fact, I carried babies all the time. After so many years, now whenever I hold some other babies, they don't cry and just lean on me. My wife teased that I still have the "daddy's smell" which can calm the baby.

The most valuable gift Mr. CSD has given me is himself, as he is and his unconditional love and support of us as a couple
no matter what is happening in our lives.
Money and tangible items have no value in relation to sharing your life through the good, bad, ugly or indifferent.

Valuable...money-wise?

I don't even know. I don't know that I've thought of things in that way.

I've never been one to want pricey gifts...I hardly wear any jewelry, jewelry bugs me...I just wear my ring, and a charm bracelet that I love. I don't ask for other big gifts...I can't think of any off the top and haven't read the thread...I mean, I don't know what people are thinking as regards a monetarily "valuable" gift...cars or something? No.

We have made most of our big purchases together, anyway.
