It's my experience that the vast majority of women AND men having RBF. Maybe you guys don't notice it because you look more at women. Anyway, while most people kind of look ticked off (at least to me) they really aren't. I mean who goes around smiling all the time? Most are usually just neutral and going about their day and such. It's once you interact with them that they light up and start smiling (again, both sexes). Although you can make eye contract and smile first, most times the other person smiles back.

Agreed.

If someone is walking around with a huge smile for no reason, most are gonna assume they're dopey, or on very good drugs.

People are usually neutral if they're out by themselves. You're not speaking to anyone, or watching a funny film, what are you gonna be madly grinning about?

I doubt waling around with this expression constantly is gonna look inconspicuous.

Lord, I should have known better with this crowd. Don't even understand the difference between a neutral face, RBF, and a scowl!

And btw, MEN walk around with grumpy, off-putting, "don't talk to me" faces all the time, or just flat out refusing to smile because smiling doesn't make them look "cool" and no one says a word.
