Very confident response.

If that is your opinion and you sound very confident about it....

then why this thread?

BTW ...I don't think it's creepy at all.

Again, why the thread?

K...
Your barely out of High School pawdnaahhhh......
K....
I was 19 years old when I met my wife. She was a Sr. in High School. We dated and it was over for me from the 1st instant I saw her. I can tell you every detail of when I first saw her and looked into her eyes. We married after dating ~3 years....we are now coming up on our 35th wedding anniversary, and I love her more than words can express - or words I can write anyway.

Treat your little gal friend like she is special - because she is.

Remember.....Life's a Dance, and you Learn As You Go !

This us when she was 17 and I was 19. I was roughnecking for Delta Drilling Co. and spending all my days off with her !

This is her near to 40 years later....I still can't keep my hands off her !!

Ok but we can agree like 20 and 17 is odd, as I think the gap in maturity between a 17 year old and 20 year is much bigger than 19 and 17

This is silly. The 20 year old may have been 19 two days before.
Nothing magical happens just because one has a birthday.

My mother is three years older than my dad. They met in high school band but didn't start dating until after she graduated. I am not automatically against it, but everything depends on the girl and her parents' views.

Depends on the circumstances.

Did the 20 year old recently turn 20? Is the 17 year old almost 18? Has he known her for a while? Is the guy close to the girl's family and they all like him and think he is a great, respectful guy?

OR

Is the guy almost 21? Did the girl just turn 17? Did the guy just meet her while hanging out outside of her high school waiting to pick up high school girls?

Context is everything.

When I was 20 I dated a 17 year old, she was the nicest person I ever met in my life, 32 years later we are still together.

Depends, it might just be smaller if the 19 year old has some growing up to do.

However, she's a 17 year old HS senior and due to that, I'm not sure if I should try and pursue a relationship. College isn't too far from her, but still. I really do like her, but I'm unsure of what to do now. It's not like a 20 year old dating a 17 year old, right as I don't like the idea of a much older guy pursuing a HS girl.

While I have no doubt at all that you are sincerely seeking advice on what to do in this situation, I have to say that to someone from the U.K. like myself, it all sounds incongruous.
It has been many many moons since I was 19, but I never gave a thought to what was right or wrong in anyone else's eyes if I dated a 16, 17, or 18 y.o. girl when I was 18 or 19.
I appreciate that the age of consent in the U.S. is 18, maybe some states having lower ages, but it is 16 in the U.K., but that number rarely came into my thinking.
I was pretty sure that even if I couldn't judge a girl's real age, I could usually tell her age bracket by how she acted, or what she said or did.
If she sounded, or acted like a kid, it was exit stage left for me.
If she could have a 'grown-up' conversation, and said she was 16 or 17, I'd take her out, maybe to a movie, or to a coffee bar for a burger or whatever, and if later it eventually led to anything sexual, I could hardly be accused of paedophilia at age 19, with a 16 or 17 y.o. willing girl, in fact I wouldn't be accused of anything, with both of us over 16, and no coercion involved.
Honestly, it is it really such a social faux pas in the U.S. for a 19 y.o. college freshman to date a 17 y.o. High School girl?
