Start doing social activities where there are physically fit age-appropriate women. For example, you won't find overweight women in a running club or a bicycling club. Or on the tennis court. Cross country skiing. Hiking. It's a pretty long list.

It depends. Generally I wait until they bring it up or when they ask. Only because I have a difficult time actually determining someones age as well.

Its not like I walk up and say "Hi I'm 39" but I'm also not hiding it or avoiding it either.

I never said that. You are putting words in my mouth.

I said the single women that I have run into that were in my age group look very aged or are very overweight or unhealthy.

I haven't run into one that was single that I was at all attracted to in any way.

Pay attention to the word "single".

There are loads of late 30s to early 40s (and older) single women that are in absolutely fantastic shape. Glad I don't live where you live.

Tried that. Large majority aren't single. But thats how it is, statistically most in my age group would be already married/paired off with someone else for a long duration.
