At this age, I don't think such a gap matters.

However, since you think you need to ask strangers, it shows a great deal of immaturity so maybe it actually is a problem.

It is imperative that a 39 y.o. male date a 49 y.o. female.

As long as she's not that old that you break her (fake) hip while you are doing her or her dentures fall out, I wouldn't worry about the age.

If you have to ask such a question at the age of 39 I predict you're not ready for it.

I'm not trying to jump on the rag on the OP bandwagon here, but ya gotta wonder how these people are operating their lives if at 39 you're posting rudimentary questions and such.

I wouldn't worry about it. Compatibility is about having both similarities and differences. An age gap can be a positive. Personally I prefer to date women in their early to mid 20s (I'm 42) and it works very well for me. The youngest I've dated was 18, when I was 40. Older women, not so much, but if that's what you like, shouldn't be a problem.

Why is this even a question?

It's called "humblebrag" but yeah, I didn't pick up that vibe myself. Most men brag about dating younger women, not older. Just generally speaking here.
