So there is this girl in my college biology class who is my lab partner.. I had a crush on her shortly after we met and we always chat before and after class as well as walking together after lab. We talk alot about her country and what it's like growing up in China for her, as well as random stuff like what's new on campus or how we're doing in our classes. We also study together sometimes outside of class. But other than these interactions, we never really do much outside of class. We will have our last lab together next week, so I'm thinking of making my move then. How should I go about this? Should I tell her I like her, ask her out to coffee, or what? I'm really inexperienced with getting girls, so any advice is welcome.

Just asking her out is an indication that you like her. She'll see that.
Like how, is coffee a good bet? I've known her for quite a while and one of my friends told me that she might not see coffee as a date if we've been friends for quite a while. However, I never hung out with her outside of class before besides studying together. How is she most likely going to perceive a coffee date?
A coffee date is perceived as quick and inexpensive, and casual. It's expected mostly when you don't know each other and you don't want to invest the time and money into a more formal date.
Because you know each other, I would ask her on a "real" date such as for lunch or dinner.
Be sincere and direct. You could say something such as:
"I've really enjoyed having you as a lab partner and would like to get to know you better. Can I call you? I would like to take you to dinner sometime.
She will give you her number. Call her up within 48 hours and ask her out to dinner. Have a plan with a time and place in mind.

Good luck!
I like this answer word for word a lot.
