I'm the latter and want the latter.
Emotional types as you've described above ( in a negative way ) yes are in touch with their feelings but constantly want to talk about them which can lead to more disagreements, arguments, fights, deal breakers etc.
" colder " types might not have the need to talk about their feelings but it doesn't mean they don't have them
I've had ^^^^ this problem with a Colombian lady oddly enough and she accused me of not caring because I wasn't as vocal about how I feel as she was!
Personally I find that it's quite insecure and needy if you need constant reassurances from your SO. So with this in mind OP as this refers to your other thread then yes you did make the right choice in ending it mate as unless mutual ground is met and you DO meet each other halfway then it won't work.
Of course this is just my opinion and might not be relevant to many

I prefer emotional women, but not borderline personality-like emotional.
I veer closer to the non emotional. I want to know someone cares but I don't need constant ego stroking and I definitely don't want/do drama. I am very even keeled and I like being around others who are the same
