And yes, I suppose its the same question if you don't act your age either

I am constantly running into this problem and it is just something that I can not get used to! Anyone else have stories to share?
OK, so I am a mortgage broker and I'm the mother of 2 young adults in their 20's - I'm in my fifties (ugh) but I went to a closing and I had met the borrower (obviously) but had not met anyone else.

The closer comes in and asks me if I'm the wife of the borrower (he is 30). We laughed about it and I was embarassed for him really. He was also nice looking. So, then we go on and later on, the selling realtor comes in and says - well, Mr. and Mrs. Smith - I hope you enjoy your new home - well, that was directed at me too - so I corrected her and she said - wow, you look so young!! I'm sure she was covering but anyway, it felt kind of good afterwards but again, I felt bad for him.

And, I never tell anyone my age - only on here!! OK, I'm vain.

Fairly often and I've heard people the past few years assume I was a college student. I'm 33. I think it's the Asian genes.

Yes, when I was having babies I was always taken for much younger.

I think those babies have caught up to me though...now I think I look my age. No gray hair and not too many lines...I just have that "old person" look...lol

YES!!!

I'm 6 ft. tall and 20 years old. People think I look about 16. I was walking around Target about a months ago, and a cop walked up to me and said You, know schools not over yet son, shouldn't you be there??.

Hold the phone officer, I'm twenty.

At 24, I want to look my age, not younger! But maybe it's a sign that I will age well .
You reminded me of this..

My family and another family went out to dinner for NYE one year. I was 14 at the time. The little girl in the other family was 7. I took this child to the bathroom with me and I was standing there waiting for her. There was another woman in there waiting for her daughter. When the little girl came out I told her to wash her hands.

The woman turned to me and said "is this your daughter?"
I said "uhhh, NO...I'm 14!" She was pretty embarassed.

Really though, I would have had to look at least in my early 20's to be old enough to have a 7yr old and while I was all dressed up, I know I couldn't pass for 20-something back then.

I am always of being older than my age.

But that's because I can grow a full beard in about a month and a half.

Well, what does that tell you...?! Unless you insist on looking older...

Oh it doesn't really bother me.

I just like having the beard. Maybe not as full, but enough so I can run my hand through it when I'm thinking.
