I'm not the greatest looking guy (I have a thread about my physical flaw) but I'm also interested in dating women. I speak with my female cousins, and they told me that it's because I'm "way outta my league". I shouldn't be getting at 10s when I myself am a 3. I wanted to know, do you guys feel the same way? I mean, I'm already a business owner and building wealth at age 18 and when I do become successful (bringing positive energy to myself lol) I'll have my pick of the litter when it comes to women, but at the same time do I want a woman that doesn't love me for me? How do you guys feel about it?

It's real in the sense that either person with an unchecked ego in either direction brings that up front and operates from that perspective. Then yes, it is real.

Physical attraction is very important to some people and not so much for others. But no matter what, physical attraction alone cannot carry an entire relationship. Someone is only "out of your league" if you think they are.

Look at Bill Gates and Zuckerberg, do they have '10' wives? The league thing is real. If she is super hot, chances are she isn't that smart and is used to getting everything they want. If it is all about looks for you and you are not good looking then you might get above 'your league' if you have a lot of money but they will only like you for the money. It's in your best interest to find a girl you are attracted to but also has some brains and mostly importantly, good character.

The worst part is the objectification, as if he gets to pick the shiniest trinket in a store display. Guys like this do not see women as a human being who deserves equal consideration as an individual. He may be worried about getting a gold digger, but he's more worried about making sure his trinket is the prettiest looking one.

this league thing annoys me. no it isnt real except to those with highly inflated or deflated egos. people who think the world owes them something just because they are in it. i have popped a few bubbles like that just by saying something like, "you are right we are not in the same league. i belong to the human league, and i guess dogs are better than you?" this is mostly to people with highly inflated egos who deserve to be knocked down a few pegs.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa

When I say pick of the litter, I don't literally mean choosing a female like I'd buy a new pair of sneakers, I just meant that more women would be attracted to me. Sorry if it sounded more misogynistic than I meant.
