Thank you everyone.
Like I said I'm still a virgin but sometimes I notice some redness or little pimples around the bikini area and today I was talking to my mom about other things and then I just started worrying about it and thinking I sure hope I don't have herpes. I was asking my mom if you can get herpes another way without having actual sex and she's like you have to have intercourse to get it so I don't know. I didn't feel comfortable going into more detail about it with my mom but I'm sorta worried about it- I worry about everything but I don't have health insurance right now.

Free clinics are a wonderful thing - and created to prevent the spread of such communicable diseases, if people took the time to just stop in and get some tests done
Regarding redness/breakouts, it may be related to pubic hair, and not herpes.
hmmm, well you don't *have* to have intercourse. If you have been intimate in a way where your body parts are touching, and he/she is having an outbreak. Or if you touch him and then touch yourself, then it is possible
I sure hope I don't have herpes. I'm a good girl, not to many people are still a virgin at 28 why me?
Don't assume you do, and don't assume only people who are promiscuous get communicable diseases - its just not the case. I think you should have a chat with your doctor, either way, including various preventative measures and methods for other diseases.
A good girl? Yikes. Being a virgin has NOTHING to do with being good. I'm shocked that you are as old as this and still a virgin. I don't think this is normal. Why don't you know about fever blisters? Are you Amish?

Amish and virgins don't shave in the bikini area so you should go to a doctor soon.
