Do You And Your Spouse Speak Baby-talk???
i'm just curious how many couples talk baby-talk to each other and how it effects your marriage- good or bad.

I guess I am not quite sure what 'baby talk' would be, we do have pet nicknames for each other but speak to each other in a normal tone of voice and have 'grown up' conversations. In any event, we have a great relationship and I swear it gets better every year!

Ugh. I cannot stand baby talk. To either a spouse or a child. It is nauseating to listen too.

My Dad used to talk baby talk to my mother all the time.
But that was after he had his stroke.

I baby talk or talk in "love tones" to my husband all the time. It is very affectionate, and relaxes him when he comes home, and lets him know that he is loved. It is just part of a womans duty for her man to be gentle, affectionate, caring, and doing what it takes to lull him into rest and comfort. Speaking in love tones is how you get that effect. It also has rewards because he is hopeleslly devoted to anything I ask of him, or request of him.
