The magic of numbers and ignorance. (Women are bad at math ) In Europe, women want men who are 180cm or taller because it's a nice even number. That's just a hair under 5'11". (Actually, European women are WAY less height obsessed than American women due to rates of popular culture consumption, but that's another story.)

It's purely a numerological fluke that 6' has some mythos to it. If the USA had converted on a mass scale to the metric system decades ago (as almost happened) things would be different.

As it were, only about 20% of men are genuinely 6' or taller barefoot; but so many guys lie about their height, it dilutes this truth. Only 3 in 100 are 6'3" or higher. The Netherlands easily has the tallest people in the world and average male height there is 5'11.5".

About the same height or so proportionate with size -you immediately double your wardrobe...extra jeans and sweaters.

I'm curious as to what average male height is in Asia (Japan, S. Korea, China, Vietnam, etc.)

Do you have stats on that?

Japan - 5'7" ish. In WW2 Japanese males were 5'3" on average. Until the mid 1980s, residential doors were only 5'11" or 180cm; new ones are 6'6" or 200cm

S. Korea - 5'8-5'9 (but younger Koreans are MUCH taller than even middle age ones. Older Koreans are 5'5"; youngest males are 5'10")

China - varies tremendously as it's such a huge country, but probably 5'6"- but increasing fast.

Vietnam - 5'5", but also increasing fast

That sounds about right.

I visited Japan in 2004 and I felt tall. It was a strange feeling.

I accept that most women are sheep and constantly want to fit into what society tells them is acceptable and pop culture tells then short men arent attractive so they listen..

Yeah it goes both ways really. Society tells us guys that women above a size 4 are cows. I'm no sheep, I've seen some plus size models out there that have really turned me on.

Yeah but i know plenty men who arent into stick figures and prefer women with meat..

Id say most women will tell you taller is more attractive even if they "settle" for a shorter guy..

I've seen short guys that were ladies men and I've seen tall guys that couldn't get a girl to save their life. Height alone doesn't mean much.
