Its very manipulative of him to share in father's comments about you being a future daughter in law and then turning around telling you that he is unsure. He may very well be unsure, but that just is not cool.

It will be hard to separate to figure out what you want to do. Stay strong and surround yourself with people who love you.

Right! That's why I'm so confused. He was even talking about our plans and then Sunday I asked how he felt and he said unsure. WTF?
