Once you live together for a while, it probably won't be as big of a deal for you. Me and my boyfriend have no problem peeing with the bathroom door open.. however, doing a number 2 might be a different story lol.
I've always had a hard time urinating in a busy and noisy public restroom, so I expect to be left alone and with the door shut while I'm peeing. I also hate it when people try and talk to me while I'm standing there waiting to go.
Nope. If I need to #2, it's total privacy. Door closed!
However, when I was married, or in a relationship, my wife (or S/O) had no problem with my coming in to pee while she was showering. Or she while I was showering. But either way, the door was closed.
I could post more, but the mods would have my neck in a wringer if I said what's going through my mind now. :-)

I prefer privacy, and a man who can't or won't respect that? Probably history.
Do I care if a man leaves the door open to pee? Not really. He can have a different comfort level than I do, and I am fine with it. I'd prefer smelling as little as possible so I would hope for closed doors for #2.
Married 11+ now and my wife will leave the door open in front of me. No big deal to either of us. Several of my ex girlfriends were this way too. Maybe I should take it as a compliment? They feel comfortable with me? I'd hope by now my wife does!
