Well, I kind of like all kinds of compliments. "Hot" has a little bit more sexual vibe and "beautiful" is more classy. It depends on the situation. From a boyfriend / crush / a guy my age I would usually prefer hot, depending on my mood LOL. From a person I am working with / someone older or younger than me I would prefer beautiful.

It depends. Seriously. In the throes of passion, I like being called hot, but otherwise, probably prefer beautiful. Unless I am dressed somewhat provocatively, in which case, I'll take either.
From a stranger, I'd prefer beautiful, because hot is more sexually charged.
Real women feel confident without the need to be called anything but their name.
There is no across the board *most* like anything, too many women and variables to generalize.
I disagree with you. Even a confident woman desires to be complimented. It's human nature. How do you think we build our confidence when we are young. One becomes confident as a child through praise. "Real" women are human, not robots. What better way for a man to express how he feels about you? That makes me mad when someone says things like this. Who are you to judge who is a real woman or not? Women are real even when they want to be complimented.
Either is fine with me, though I suppose I prefer beautiful.

I know I am beautiful but besides bums and creepy men on the streets, I haven't been called that in a long time. Guys I date mostly call me sexy but I miss being called beautiful.
