Do straight women read books on how to pick up women?
I'm just wondering if straight women read books on how to pick up women. Maybe they'd read it for entertainment, education, and/or to detect when such tactics are being used on them. I don't think straight guys read books on how to pick up men, but maybe that's just me.

If either straight man or woman read books on how to pickup the same sex,
they would'nt be straight then.

hmmm... I think that is a strange question.. what is the meaning behind the question? I would think the women would know what men would need to say to them in order to get a good conversation going and vice versa.. I also know what I would like to hear women say to me.. Why would I read about trying to pick up the same sex? For that matter any sex...

wull, I've been outa the loop for a long time...might have to brush up...might be a little rusty.... and I certainly don't want to ask, what kind of car do they drive, what kind of job they have, and if I can see a copy of their income tax return.... just joking as another thread came to mind. LOL
I will say this, 12 years ago, after my divorce, I started dating, whew, whata culture shock...ain't like it used to be....but then I did meet some very nice men then...

NO, I have never read any such book. I am pretty good at knowing a LINE when I hear one. I have a good BS meter.

Nothing wrong with a curious mind. I remember sometime last year, while I was looking through various book selections on Amazon.com, I once saw a whole series of books on the subject you mention. Frankly, some of the women I've encountered lately might be wise to pick up a copy of one of those books.
To answer your question, I wouldn't seek out or buy such a book, but I might find it an entertaining read if I came across a copy at the library.
