Met my wife 7 years ago (second time around for both of us) and one day she said we were like a couple of old shoes that go together, and from then on we call each other 'shoe'. She's my 'shoe' and I'm hers.

I was wondering if there were any other nicknames you and yours share together.

Old shoe... that actually sounds pretty neat! Not that I'd like being called a "shoe," but the idea behind definitely makes sense. I wouldn't know... I've always been called sweet names and worn uncomfortable shoes.

I was called Pretty. That was my nickname For many, many years. He did not call me by my first name, except in anger.

Now, all these years later, I am Robyn again. I am me. Just Robyn

The night my ex husband asked me to move to Dallas with him he told me I was like "an old shoe". He certainly meant it as a compliment but we joked about that all throughout the marriage.
