Too late to "butt out" now. You need to sit down and tell your son what you know.

I would be upset at first but its nice to know that mom always has my back.

She was sent evidence through email that for the past 5 years she was cheating.

Christ almighty, y'all, for real??? Stay out of it? In these situations, I ask myself, "What would I want them to do for me if the roles were reversed."

If it were me, I sure would hope my mom - or anyone - would say something.

Why would you (and how could you) let a deceitful cheater 'convince you' to NOT tell your son about this? Who's side are you actually on?

I realize some people think that they shouldn't get involved in other people's love lives - but um, this is your SON we're talking about here. I would hope to God that if my mom or dad KNEW that my BF was cheating on me, that they would tell me immediately!
Yup.

To hell with the "OMG he's 25! MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS" stuff.

I would tell anyone that I cared about, that they were being cheated on if I knew about it.

Yeah, I'm not feelin' this one.

It's one thing if she insisted it was untrue.

What the girlfriend has done, according to the OP, is "convince" her and the sister to keep their mouths shut.

I'm struggling with a few details here that make it . . . unusual.

The strangest thing about this strange story is that the anonymous 'leaker' didn't send the evidence to the husband, but to...his MOTHER?

what's the deal with that.

I can only guess that it was from someone I know.

What happens if the gf gets pregnant from the other guy and the son gets to think it's his? He'll start to get suspicious when features not his start to show in the kid.
