I am not going to pass judgement and call you a jerk. I don't think you would intentionally leave your spouse in a situation where she would feel all alone, and not supported. Of course men and women think differently, so the bad news is based on your actions (thought process) your automatically wrong by default. I have gone to the ER every time my wife has to go. If she has had to stay in the Hospital I have visited her every day she was there for countless hours. The only time she goes to the Dr. by herself is when I can't get the time off to be there with her. Its true women will remember EVERYTHING that happens with regards to this. I on the other hand have only had to stay in a hospital once and I did NOT get the same treatment. I know its not always fair, but men ARE expected (sometimes) to just choke it up. The reality is that the one time I decide to do anything other than stay by her side in a situation such as this (regardless of the reason) I'm considered a jerk. Your record on the whole means NOTHING. Its what you do that moment that seems to bear the entire makeup of your character as a husband.
