whats the big deal? If they’re on good terms, then what’s wrong with telling him?

Block her number as well. Her text message should not have reached you. Shes an ex, no longer important.

wonder why she even texted you if you don't have any reason for ongoing communication. Did you have kids or a step parent or share a dog or something?

Might be a good opportunity to say goodbye (not to her) but if you had a shared something.

Obviously she cared enough to let you know, so you both are still caring of each other. That is a very nice thing, given all the horrible ex stories that are the norm.

And, embrace the old memories, you probably learned alot and it will make you both better future partners to others.

I was thrilled when my ex moved out of state because that reduced the odds of us bumping into each other at our old hangouts.

I didn't think I was still so attached to her, and even started missing her after all these years.

Have you ever experienced something like that?
The only reason she should have contacted you is if you have kids with her.

Even hurting from the contact you should have been strong and said, "So"
